Datamail offer environmental polythene enclosing, this is a stronger and more robust waterproof alternative to paper, and still attract postage discounts.

Polythene wrapping is ideal for magazines and brochures, it can handle the additional weight which would strain that of a comparable paper wrap, and still provide a professional finish which enhances your publication. It can handle sizes up to a newspaper format and weights up to 750grams.

Home Compostable Option

Is 100% compostable; made from plasticiser and is (GMO) Genetically Modified Organisms FREE, based on potato starch. It is suitable for domestic and industrial composting. It can be disposed of in a home compost bin, or food waste caddies and green waste for collection by local authorities.

Certification for most Home compost films requires the products to completely composted within 6 months in a well-maintained compost, but under the right environmental conditions this can be fully compostable within ten days.
It is strong and effective and our compostable polythene is fully EN13432 certified and provides an excellent green solution to packaging and marketing needs. This will completely supports your work in developing totally green packaging.

LDPE Recyclable Film

The polythene which is used is a recyclable product. There are 7 different types of plastics which are used in the mailing industry of which all have very different impacts on the environment, The 7 Common Types of Plastic:

  2. High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

LDPE is what is used for traditional mailing envelopes which can be recycled. When recycled low-density polyethylene can be turned into; plastic composite lumber for decks; floor tiles; compost bins and trash cans.
